Our Commitment
The Scene Score is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards.
Measures Taken
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- Descriptive alt text on all venue photos and images
- Keyboard-navigable interface with visible focus indicators
- Minimum 44px touch targets on interactive elements (mobile-friendly)
- Color contrast that meets WCAG AA requirements (4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for large text)
- Responsive design that adapts to screen readers and zoom levels
- ARIA labels on interactive components where native semantics are insufficient
Known Limitations
While we work to ensure accessibility, some areas may have limitations:
- Map view: Our interactive map (Leaflet) provides a visual browsing experience. We provide text-based browsing as an alternative through our city and category pages.
- Third-party content: Venue photos are sourced from Google Places and Instagram and may not always have descriptive alt text.
We are actively working to address these limitations.
